Donate throughout the year to help support children with special needs.
The Monroe Township Volunteer Fire Department is proud to fundraise for the WHAS Crusade for Children. “The WHAS Crusade for Children makes life better for children with identified health care, educational and emotional wellness needs by inspiring generosity with our community partners.” Each year, fire departments and other organizations stage road blocks and events to raise funds that are returned 100% to the people they’re collected to help. Around half of the money raised is from fire departments in Kentucky and Indiana.
In 2023, MTVFD received the Crusader Award for raising a total of over $1 million.
In 2024, MTVFD raised the most money for the Crusade on this side of the river with $107,708.24 collected, making the list of top donors. Our goal for 2025 is to raise $110,000.00. We’re planning a car show and road blocks at this time. To stay updated on our progress, follow us on our Facebook Page.
We recently kicked off our 2025 fundraising season. Watch our feed for news about upcoming road blocks, events and the charity auction. In the meantime, you can stop by MTVFD Station One (315 S Ferguson St) anytime between 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., seven days a week, and leave your donation with a firefighter.
If you choose to donate via the QR code or on the site, be sure to comment it is through Monroe Township Volunteer Fire Department, so they know where the donation came from. Thanks for your continued support!
